I did find this shorty close to me: http://springfield.craigslist.org/cto/4768715389.html

He's asking $7,900 but I haven't looked at in person yet. Any tips? Is that a decent price for a clean one? [Linked Image]

For that much money it had better be perfect and be exactly what you want.

Windows- they're what make a van worth owning!

welcomefrom Florida.
Thats a pretty good lookin van.Kinda of high but if you think of the time $ to have one shipped that you never seen in person it may very well be worth it.Just check it over & under for rust and what not.Best of luck.

Hi Brian, Welcome to the site, I just moved to be closer to my Mom, here in West Texas. I originally hail from Sucky Southern California, so I do have car connections there. I'm a little closer to you now, and There's a guy here in Littlefield, who has a pretty nice looking Chevy G20 conversion type van. It's been up for sale since I've been here. Now I've got a good excuse to stop by and talk to him. I'll get a phone number, some pics, and I'll let you know what I find out. There is a few around that I've seen out and about in my travels. A nice '88 Dodge conversion like my "Old Blue" Dodge B250, just sold down in Lubbock for less than $2500. Keep looking, they're out there! welcome

Only one way to find out! Lol. If its reasonably close go take a look. If the body's rust free (look real close) and is what you want then why the heck not? And you can always make him an offer. No telling how motivated he is maybe it can be had for less? Custom vans to me are the hardest thing to shop for since they're custom! Hard to say if you'll ever find exactly what you want....but the great thing is that your not marrying it...if you run across one you like better buy it!

cwb440, I think you're right I will have to look further away to find one. I'm keeping my eyes open...seems like the vans I like are always in California...I should move there!

Nightmare41042, thanks for the link. I do like some of those Dodge vans. Nice van you have also!

Thats funny, I had to go to Cedar rapids for my 2nd van to bring here to San Diego. The 1 you want may not be next door ... need to widen your search area & DONT GIVE UP !

If you need to travel any where near San Diego Ill pick you up at the airport & get you to your new van.

Again Welcome to the site.

I agree with reed. Love the look of it though, I'd say 5000$ is a fair asking price.

Also thanks. smile

Unfortunately the van I fell for was in California as well.
Good job for containers and shipping is all I can say.
Good luck with which ever you go for.
