Advertized as a long leaf kit for a 2" lift on 1989 Chevy V8 pickups like the C2500. But will it fit? http://www.4wheelparts.com/Suspensi...488&t_pn=EXP13124#overview_Container

I need to find a compressor for the rear shocks that can push more than 115psi so I can fully extend them, but even at 115psi I get some lift. I'm still going to get a set of add a leaf or leaf helpers also...pic in my signature is my van with just the HD coil springs up front

I can highly recommend them as we are well pleased. They're better IMHO than a sway bar for towing. I adjusted them to level the van side to side and to only raise the rear about an inch or so with no load. | | | Re: How to find a lift kit for a G20.. | Joined: Aug 2015 Posts: 97 journeyman | journeyman Joined: Aug 2015 Posts: 97 | How much lift can you get out of the Hellwig 2500s (riding with no additional load)? I'm looking for about 2 inches all around. I also like the idea of the Hellwigs because of the stabilizing factor. My G20 Beauville handles like a school bus. | | | Re: How to find a lift kit for a G20.. | Joined: Feb 2016 Posts: 1,266 Likes: 43 old hand | old hand Joined: Feb 2016 Posts: 1,266 Likes: 43 | So I went to the Mooneyes car show a few weekends ago and saw a lifted G10 2WD van and had to find out what we used to get it that high. We spoke for a bit and he used G30 control arms (which I didnt know are different than the G10/G20 control arms, they used in the P30 step vans as well) and 88-91 2WD C1500 4" lift spindles. He had to replace the stock 77 G10 rotors and calipers to fit correctly but its all bolt on stuff and the van sat tough as hell! Dude told me he just drove it about 6k miles so I know its well sorted out. So your parts list would be G30 Control Arms 88-91 4" lift spindles 88-91 5 lug rotors 88-91 calipers

BUT...after driving it now for a few months, I will say that the G30 springs are very stiff. Almost too much. I'd much rather do the set up I mentioned above because with spindles, you can change the spring type to the softer G10 springs for a smoother ride.

Also, 88-91 C1500 parts would fit on a G20 (as well as a G10)? Should the list include new/different shocks? Depending how high you get, maybe a steering stabilizer?
I was originally going to go with a mild 1-2" lift, but I'm liking the taller look, within reason... | | |
