hi all,
well it took two months, but my Chevy Shorty G10 arrived in Brisbane a few days ago, it cleared customs pretty quick so I was able to pick it up and drive it home (about an hours drive) yesterday. It started on the button and gave out with a growling v8 burble. When I walked round it to check it out before driving away I noticed a few things the seller had not disclosed, Horn button missing also r-view mirror, the pass seat (captains chairs) rocked and spun around freely like a carnival ride.Front carpet needs replacing and the spare wheel is gone. There were a few other things as well,
what annoys me is - after I paid in full before shipping I asked the seller to tell me exactly what I would need to bring the van up to spec. He said nothing, so here we are two months later I would have been able to use that two months to source the items I need.
ON THE PLUS SIDEIt runs great, power steering and brakes all good. Its a 350ci Auto, I drove it home thru the city and on the freeway, FUN FUN FUN. All the gages and lights work, so nows the time to start looking for parts and accessories.
Funnily enough I alsmost didn`t buy this van as the owner - a self confessed non mechanical guy - told me it didn`t have a/c.
How pleased was I to discover it does ! Factory a/c.
Happy days
cheers Matt
